Most people live for the sunny days of summer and I love a clear, warm sunshiny day as much as the next person. But, I also love rainy days (particularly summer thunderstorm days) and fog. I don’t want a whole day of fog but I love a few hours watching the swirling patches of gray descend and dissipate only to reappear, covering the land in a soft gauzy mist while the fog horns sound up and down the bay. It’s the other side of summer. This started as a plein air sketch on a clear sunny morning in Newport and then the fog rolled in . . . – Eden
